Skip the line to Notre-Dame
Please make your way directly to the entrance of Notre-Dame with your skip-the-line tickets ready. You will be given the audio guide device at the reception, allowing you to discover the inside and outside of the Notre-Dame Cathedral and Treasury as well as the Latin Quarter. You'll first discover the inside of the cathedral, which is considered to be one of the best examples of French Gothic architecture in the world, with construction beginning in 1160 and being mostly completed by 1260. The informative audio commentary will give you information about the Transept, the choir’s Pietà designed by sculptor Nicolas Coustou, the choir with its sculpted wall, the Treasury which houses the holy vessels, ornaments and liturgical books, the silver statue of the Virgin Mary which dates back to the 14th century, and much more.
Next you'll admire the outside of the church with its impressive facade and three large portals, decorated with statues and gargoyles, which give access to the inside of the cathedral through two large wooden doors.
Continue your visit with a tour of the Latin Quarter. Cross the Pont au Double bridge to Quai de Montebello. You will bypass Square René Viviani to walk along the historical rue Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre in the Sorbonne neighborhood. Here you'll pass the Saint Séverin church on rue Saint Jacques and finish your tour with Rue Galande
